. The definition of adaptive technologies is in the name, it is technology that changes over time. Since learning and the way certain students learn changes over time, adaptive technologies come into play to meet the changing demands of student learning. For example, while blogging has been around for a while, teachers 20 years ago wouldn't have been able to use Twitter the same way it is used in education today. I use Twitter on a daily basis for both personal and educational use and I know teachers that have used the platform as inspiration for class assignments and as a part of assignments themselves. A challenge I see with using adaptive technologies is that they sometimes can fall behind due to the rapid changes in student learning. . I would use PowerPoint to support the cognitive and affective domains by making a presentation that relates the concepts I am teaching at that particular time with concepts that my students are familiar with. This association would promote reme

. I have not learned much from using Twitter for this class because I have been active on Twitter for years prior. Twitter is a great social platform to express ideas and interact with others. I personally have met and talked with a variety of people using the app. The only issue I have been having with keeping up with the class Twitter is coming up with ideas for the tweets itself. Sometimes it's hard and often the tweets come out sounding awkward at first. . I learned a lot from the web page design and I had no idea how easy it was to make a published web page. Since I aspire to be a teacher, I felt it was a fitting assignment and enjoyed writing the content for it, even though most of it was fictional. I also liked how we were not limited to what website creating platform we could use so I was able to use one I was already comfortable with. I don't really see any ways the assignment can be approved, I think it is fine the way it is. https://elisespiller20.wixsite.com/e

. This is the page for the Creative Writing class at my previous high school, Lakewood Ranch High School. I took Creative Writing my senior year and was around for when the page was created. It features posts about events involving Ms. Hargen, the teacher, and her class like the annual poetry slam, and how to submit to the school's literary magazine (I had the privilege of being published in it the first time it was made available online). It also features resources from Ms. Hargen's class for students who have missed or want to refamiliarize themselves with the material discussed in class. https://lrhscreativewriting.wordpress.com . I envision myself using technology a lot in my classroom but mainly for grading. As a high school English teacher I will probably have 100-200 students a day and that involves grading their papers. The rubric technology mentioned in the podcast would seem extremely helpful for me when grading papers and for students to see the feedback I have

. I think YouTube and blogging are two examples of Web 2.0 tools that I think can be extremely useful in the classroom. For example, in my AP U.S. History class in high school, my teacher would play videos on YouTube to help us review for upcoming tests. They were very helpful and since they were on YouTube, they could be easily accessed outside of class if we wanted to review further. YouTube can have helpful review videos and tutorials for teachers to use in the classroom. I could use YouTube to show my students a quick video about grammar or review a section of a particular novel we are reading. Blogging can also be a useful Web 2.0 tool. Similar to the article I read for class, blogging can be an easy way to get everyone involved in the classroom. I, myself being a shy introvert, was very reluctant to speak out during class and blogging gives students like me a platform to engage with others and participate in beneficial social interaction. It also gives teachers a platform to exch

. I have interacted with a couple of my classmates on Twitter but not much outside of that. I have found it beneficial because I am learning stuff about certain technologies that I am unfamiliar with and cannot download on my Mac. I think Twitter would be a helpful tool in my future career because it can help me relate to the students I plan to teach. Most if not all high school kids are active on some form of social media and Twitter is a great platform. I can also use Twitter as a basis for possible projects. For example, during my senior year of high school, my creative writing teacher, who also taught freshman English, shared with me a project she was working on with her students about making Instagram profiles for characters in the book they were reading at the time. I could potentially use Twitter as my preferred platform and provide a fun and engaging way for my students to look at English and Literature. . The digital divide affects students in schools by giving students like
