. The definition of adaptive technologies is in the name, it is technology that changes over time. Since learning and the way certain students learn changes over time, adaptive technologies come into play to meet the changing demands of student learning. For example, while blogging has been around for a while, teachers 20 years ago wouldn't have been able to use Twitter the same way it is used in education today. I use Twitter on a daily basis for both personal and educational use and I know teachers that have used the platform as inspiration for class assignments and as a part of assignments themselves. A challenge I see with using adaptive technologies is that they sometimes can fall behind due to the rapid changes in student learning. . I would use PowerPoint to support the cognitive and affective domains by making a presentation that relates the concepts I am teaching at that particular time with concepts that my students are familiar with.
